“The joy of life, you see
Is simple as can be

 I said, “You must explain
The meaning is not plain
Your singing hurts my brain
My thoughts confound”
But he just turned around
And made that silly sound

“Joy is not possessions
Nor obsessions, situations
Joy is within you
So continue: sing like I do

“The future is quite dim
Survival chances slim
